Deaconess Ministry
Purpose: Assist the Pastor and the Deacons Ministry in carrying out the Mission of the Church. Deaconess are expected to attend Bible Study/Prayer Meetings/Sunday School and other spiritual training and leadership conferences throughout the year.
Mission: Work in partnership with the Deacons Ministry. It is customary for the Deaconess to accompany her husband or any other Deacon on home visits for bereavement or sick visitations. They are also responsible for preparing female candidates for baptismal, assembling of the communion table on the first Sunday, laundering communion table, clothes, towels, and baptismal garments. Deaconess extend the right hand of fellowship to new members and welcome them to the body of Christ.
Goals: To see the need for keeping the Deaconess Ministry alive and to develop a plan for keeping it alive.
