(Deja Corayel McCullum)
A young lady of integrity, intelligence, and inspiration, Miss Deja Corayel McCullum is a quiet storm whose
compassion for others roars as thunder. This native of Taylorsville, Mississippi became a member of the
Macedonia family in 2013, and she has been faithful in the youth ministry. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby
and Tarsha Johnson have instilled within her and her siblings strong Christian principles that were rooted
deeply at New Galilee Missionary Baptist under the pastoral care of Rev. Sidney Jones. Deja was active in
the youth ministry as a choir member and youth clerk, and upon joining Macedonia Baptist Church, she
continues to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by diligently attending
Sunday School and worship services. Moreover, Miss McCullum serves in the youth ministry as a choi
member, usher, and praise dancer.

Deja is a rising senior in the Advanced Placement program at Daphne High School with a current GPA of
3.75. She was recently inducted as a member of the National Honor Society. Upon graduation, this young
lady aspires to become a nurse and then proceed to medical school.

"Coco," as many fondly refer to her, is no stranger to diligence and hard work. When she was in the sixth and seventh grade, she worked at the community grocery store, "McDonald's Grocery," and she would arrive at the store having ridden the bus from school and work until its closing at 6:00 in the evening. The pride and integrity of which she established in that workplace radiates in her work at the church and in the community.

While this young lady enjoys fashion, family, and fun, she loves Jesus and desires to walk in His light. Truly, Miss Deja Corayel McCullum is a young soldier in the army of the Lord, and this Macedonia Family is proud of her.
